Art Neuman  passed away June 22, 2016 at the age of 85.
Art was instrumental in the the creation of our local chapter of Guns n' Hoses. As an Executive Board member for the first two years Guns N‘ Hoses raised more than $200,000.00 to benefit the families of Firefighters and Law Enforcement officers who have fallen in the line of duty. Art served as Executive Director of the Cincinnati Golden Gloves and under his watch produced several Olympians and professional boxing champions. Art was the driving force behind our initial success, He will be missed, but we will always be greatfull for his contributions to Guns N’ Hoses, SWO.

All prospective boxers undergo stringent training under the guidance and supervision of professional trainers at Buddy LaRosa’s Over The Rhine Boxing Center, and are be certified to compete.

Guns 'N Hoses features three-round boxing matches between area Law Enforcement and Firefighters to raise money that provides immediate financial aid, long-term financial, and other support to the families of Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters who lose their lives in the line of duty. These are the best of the best! Law Enforcement and Firefighters square off in exciting boxing matches. Each bout is 3 rounds. The winner of each bout receives a Championship Belt, and the runner up received a medal. At the end of the night the team with the most victories takes home a traveling Guns & Hoses Trophy. These brave men and women, who risk their lives on the job every day, put it all on the line in the ring for charity. The VIP Reception was held from 5:00 - 6:30PM. A hosted cocktail hour where sponsors and guests  mingled with friends and patrons of Guns N’ Hoses. Local Sheriffs, Police, and Fire Officials were all on hand. This year’s live auction was held at 6:00pm during the VIP reception for bidding on a fabulous collection of auction items ranging from autographed memorabilia, to exciting travel destinations and exquisite dining experiences.
